Move It Express Limited is a family business headed by Managing Director Alex Cruickshanks, Operations Director Freddie Shaw and Director Alan Tickner.

The business started trading in 1994, from the Managing Director's garage using one van. Now, 7 vans, 10 trucks ranging from 7.5 - 44 tonnes and large hi-tech storage facilities later, Move It Express Limited has grown steadily to occupy custom built premises in the growing town of Mid Calder, West Lothian, which is situated in the heart of Scotland's “Silicon Glen”, close to the M8 and M9 motorways.

We regularly deliver over 750 pallets per week throughout the UK, Ireland and Europe, many of them are one off, time critical deliveries. We also hold long-term storage contracts for clients who demand clean, secure storage facilities.

Over the years we have built up a personal relationship with our customers based on providing them with a top quality service. Companies in computer, food and printing industries who have come to rely on Move it Express Limited being there on time - every time. This attention to our clients requirements has rewarded us many contracts.

Distribution

With Move It Express's first class service and same day deliveries, we have proven that we deliver a higher standard of service than any other company in our sector.

Our annual turnover is constantly growing and we believe we have established ourselves as a major player in the light freight distribution industry.

Our attention to detail, clean modern vehicles, uniformed staff and personal service enables us to provide a level of excellence which exceeds most others in our designated line of business.

Our fleet has a vehicle for every occasion consisting of 7.5 ton curtain siders with tail lift. 7.5 ton box vans with tail lifts. L.W.B. Sprinter Vans & Courier Vans all with unique logos and kept in excellent working order and cleanliness.

Storage

To provide a complete service for our clients we also have brand new purpose built storage facilities. These storage facilities provide the perfect place if you require modern and bright, heated, secure storage. Our CCTV Protected premises are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and are also protected by Redcare security which provides fire alarm systems with both heat and smoke detectors, linked to a 24 hour manned control centre. It is ideal for our clients who demand that “little bit extra”, you can be happy that your goods are being cared for in a way that can only be provided by a family business. Our flexible approach enables us to provide our clients with the storage they require whether it be long or short term on pallets, racked or free standing.
